AML-6 with CTDSV & Crude Oil sensors for ROVs & AUV's

Science projects require a healthy redunancy in data gathering. AML-6 is designed for such purpose. Subsea ROV work requires high accuracy, high resolution pressure measurement and time-of-flight sound velocity. Its recommended to complement that with conductivity for density measurements. The AML-6 is the most powerful yet compact multiparameter sonde currently available.

Why choose AML?

AML has a 45 year history manufacturing conductivity sensors, with thousands delivered to customers worldwide. Furthermore, Time-of-flight sound velocity (SV) for oceanography was invented by AML; as a company, we have more than 25 years of experience in the design and manufacture of SV sensors, more than any other company in the world. Our 4 electrode-conductive conductivity cell is a stable, mature technology that has been tested repeatedly in side-by-side deployments with SeaBird CTDs, operating to identical levels of in-field performance. Our conductivity sensors come in two different accuracies: Standard (C:0.01 mS/cm5 , T: 0.005 °C) and Scientific (C:0.003 mS/cm5, T: 0.002 °C).

Unique features of the AML solution:

  • The AML3 CTDSV is a more compact solution compared to its rivals
  • AML offers the fastest delivery time in the market for CTD or SVP instruments. Our modular approach to sensor-heads allows us to deliver what you need, fast!
  • AML offers the largest ecosystem of end-cap sensor heads available in the oceanographic market
  • Our field-swappable sensor heads increase instrument flexibility; any AML sensor head you own can be installed on any instrument, thus ensuring a ‘fit to purpose’ instrument is always available
  • Our field swappable sensor heads create in-field redundancy; sensor-heads can be moved or re deployed to the most critical asset
  • Our field swappable sensor heads streamline service, maintenance, and recalibration; only the sensor - not the instrument - needs to travel to a recal centre
