X2change™ is the industry’s leading family of field-swappable sensor heads. Each sensor head contains its own embedded calibration and can be moved from instrument to instrument without impacting accuracy. Changing sensors is easy: simply unscrew one sensor head and replace it with another.

X2change™ sensor heads are used exclusively with X2•Series / Orange Line instrumentation. Total flexibility of instrument model, sensor type, and sensor range ensures that the right instrument is always available. Collect the most accurate, highest quality data possible by using X2change™ High Accuracy Conductivity-Temperature sensors. Sensors calibrated to high accuracy are measured against a laboratory standard, ensuring precise data collection. High accuracy sensors are ideal for places with minimal changes in the environment, or in deep water where the full scale is larger; therefore high accuracy and precision is more significant. Conductivity-Temperature (CT) sensors are used for characterizing the water column. All X2change™ High Accuracy CT sensors have a range of 0-90 mS/cm and -5 to 45 °C, accuracy of ±0.003 mS/cm and 0.002 to 0.005 °C, resolution of 0.001 mS/cm and 0.001 °C and a response time of 25 ms (conductivity) and 100 ms (temperature).
