AML Oceanographic Gains ISO 9001:2015 Certification
AML is pleased to announce that the ISO 9001:2015 quality management certification has been renewed as of 2021. ISO (International Standards Organization) 9001 is a standard for quality, focusing on an organization’s ability to consistently meet customer expectations in product and service.
An organization’s Quality Management System (QMS) is comprised of natural processes, such as design, sales, production, and technical support. To achieve ISO certification, these processes are reviewed by an independent auditor who verifies they have all the universally accepted elements found in organizations with high customer satisfaction. AML’s recent growth and the desire to improve spurred the team to undergo the extensive certification process, and benchmark their existing QMS against the leading international standard.
Over this past summer, a representative from a recognized ISO 9001 certification body audited AML’s manufacturing locations, and found them to meet and in many cases exceed the criteria of the standard. The AML team has set to work applying lessons learned from the certification process, and is committed to the continuous improvement and annual surveillance audits that maintaining certification entails.
